Writer's Block: Could Have Been Better

When I was 12 years old, I made a pair of baby-blue, draw-string, satin culottes (sp?) on the sewing machine in our house. I sewed red sequins on the cuffs. I was SO happy, as generally don't finish any project I start. I wanted to wear them to school. Gratefully, my mom talked me out of sporting the ill-fitting textile monstrosity. A year later I was mortified by them and never sewed again. I may now be ready to give textiles another chance...

How could I have made it better? Well, I'm afraid it would have been better were those frightening 'gauchos' (as my mom called them) were never made. Yeah.
