Eric is very disappointed. It doesn't fit his "Dawn of the Dead" image: us sitting inside trying to be as quiet as possible. We're hoping the old veteran neighbor's gun will be useful. Neither of us have ever fired a real gun before. Hope we're able to aim.
I was able to reach my niece via my G-mail chat. She's a math and electronic genius and she's the reason I have contact with them at all in Chicago. They're hanging in there, my brother killing zombies and raiding. My mom directing the running of the house, as usual. Not much has changed except the zombies.
Sunsets in the West take forever, but the light is getting dim now. Better turn off the lights before they stagger over and realize we're here. Man it didn't take long for zombies to get here from Minnesota...
